happy father’s day, dad

17 Jun

here’s to…

the first man we ever loved.

the one who taught us to always try our best and always have high expectations {to never settle}.

the one who makes our heart melt and eyes tear up just thinking about how much he means to us.

the calm presence and logical mind we needed in a house full of emotional {and fun} women.

happy father’s day, dad. we will always be daddy’s little girls. we love you.

your girls

happy father’s day to all the men out there who work hard to provide for, protect and guide their children. and for those of you who lost your fathers – may their love and wisdom be with you today and always.

2011 in review

30 Dec

2011 is another one for the books. It’s been a year of ups and downs {mostly ups}, fabulous parties, new trends and stories to share. We’ve each compiled our favorite’s of 2011. Maybe you have some favorites moments/discoveries/obsessions of 2011 you’d like to share – if so, we’d love to hear them.

Looking forward to all that 2012 brings…

Jessica’s Top 11 of 2011
1. Favorite event of the year: The Royal Wedding. No one looked more gorgeous than Kate Middleton {although her sister was a close 2nd} and there was not a better fairy tale to be told than the Royal Wedding.
2. Favorite athlete: Tim Tebow. My husband loves watching sports, so I’m used to ESPN being on ALL THE TIME. However, I’ve been a huge fan of Tim Tebow for quite some time, and have the utmost respect for him. He’s a good role model for our kids, a great athlete {frustrating to watch at times} and easy on the eyes too.
3. Favorite new project: Tutto Bella Blog. This has been a great creative outlet for me, and I’ve met so many wonderful people through the world of blogging. It’s been more work than I anticipated, but it’s a passion and I love doing it. Thank you all for your support and inspiration.
4. Favorite new obsession: Pinterest. If you haven’t signed up, you have to – become at Tutto Bella Blog follower. It’s a wonderful resource for DIY inspiration, wedding ideas – it’s a creative mecca and I LOVE it.
5. Favorite song: Colder Weather by Zac Brown Band. My hubby and I went on a double date with my bestie and her boyfriend to see Zac Brown Band at Red Rocks {coolest venue ever} and fell in love with this song.
6. Favorite party featured on the web: Milkaholic Sip and See by Carrie Sellman of Half Baked. I thought this party was so creative and so many unique ideas that people can bring into their own baby showers.
7. Favorite show: Parenthood on NBC. I can relate to everything on this show and I’m addicted. 🙂
8. Favorite place to find homemade goods: Etsy. This website is genius and so many talented people make and sell unique goods you couldn’t find anywhere else. You can find almost anything on Etsy.
9. Favorite patterns: Stripes and Chevron. I LOVE stripes so much, I am painted my daughter’s room in stripes {I will share photos soon}. I love this entry wall of stripes. And, oh how I love Chevron. Pillowsrugs and walls and furniture – I love it all.
10. Favorite DIY project: Oh man, this is a tough one because I ADORE DIY projects, but two top projects that come to mind are the individual cake stands I discovered at Bump Smitten. The possibilities are endless with the idea of making your own cake or cupcake stand. I also love Martha Stewart’s Decorative Tray with the Chevron pattern.
11. Favorite new ice cream flavor: Ben and Jerry’s Dublin Mudslide. Irish cream liqueur ice cream with chocolate chip cookies and a coffee fudge swirl…seriously delicious!

Jenna’s Top 11 of 2011
1. Favorite concert of the year: Amos Lee with my husband. My Christmas gift, and it was a wonderful one with many memories I will never forget and wonderful music.
2. Favorite event: Opening up my paper & gift boutique Fleur de Lis in April. Truly a dream come true!
3. Favorite monthly club: Book Club! I have really met and fallen in love with the most amazing group of women – all of whom are dear friends.
4. Favorite book: Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett, a book I love so much I could re-read at least once a year. A great story filled with love, lust, history, architecture, mystery, conspiracy – this book has it all!
5. Favorite movie: Midnight in Paris – a smart, funny movie I really related to with living in Italy, being an old soul, and living your dream at any cost.
6. Favorite routine: Listening to the Today Show every morning as I get ready for work.
7. Favorite new snack/treat: Dark Chocolate Acai Blueberries from Costco. Simply delicious!
8. Favorite lesson learned: You can’t change people. You can only change yourself. Don’t let other people negatively affect your dreams in life.
9. Favorite fashion purchase: My new Ray Ban optical glasses. I am legally blind, so glasses are an everyday accessory for me. Good thing these Ray Bans go with every outfit 🙂
10. Favorite new obsession: Blogging about weddings and fashion on Tutto Bella Blog. Thanks to all of our readers for following! I feel lucky to be able to do this fun project with my two sisters.
11. Favorite new website: Reign, Denver’s Authority on Fabulous. I check this website every Tuesday/Thursday for new happenings and shops in Denver.

Jodi’s Top 11 of 2011
1. Favorite event of the year: My wedding on September 3, 2011. By far the best day ever. I am incredibly lucky to have married the most amazing man I know. Stay tuned for Tutto Bella’s upcoming feature of the wedding.
2. Favorite drink: Skinnygirl Margarita. Bethenny Frankel is the most entertaining reality star to watch on her hit show, Bethenny Ever After, and she knows how to make one delicious drink!

We all have to wait for Jenna Walker’s professional photos of Jodi and Drew’s unforgettable wedding day…Jenna, I know they are going to be extraordinary!

But, today we have a sneak peek of the beautiful bride and her lovely maids during wedding day prep. {Just wait until you see Jodi in her dress – THE most stunning dress. The bridesmaids brightened the room with their Jenny Yoo dresses too…to be continued}

Everyone was treated like princesses with hair and make-up by only the BEST. Kristina Porreco and Aldo Celeste – not only are they both talented, they are so fun…I highly recommend them.

Kristina, also a pretty bridesmaid, worked her magical hands on Jodi and mother of the bride, Julie’s, hair.

And, Aldo, our favorite {and most gorgeous} make-up man, made us all look like models. Sorry ladies…he’s taken.
Here’s the sister trio with our beautiful mom.

Let’s not forget our handsome dad with all the ladies. Lucky guy!

reign rocks

8 Aug

We are still alive and well {some could argue the word ‘well’ from that statement} after Jodi’s Bachelorette Party this past weekend. It was SO much fun. Our bride looked fabulous and the festivities kept us {all 25 of us} laughing all night. We can’t wait to share party details with you.

But right now, we have fun news for you. Last Friday was an exciting day for Jenna and our blog. ReignDenver’s authority of all things fabulous, debuted its newest website and newsletter addition, Aisle Style by Reign. And Tutto Bella’s very own sister, Jenna, was the first wedding featured. Be sure to check it out.

Betsy Martin, the publisher and editor of the digital magazine and website, makes it her weekly duty to share the latest and greatest the mile high city has to offer. From the hottest fashion finds, restaurants, trends and happenings around town…every fabulous gal in Denver is in-the-know with Reign. Now, brides {and those who love weddings like we do} can find wedding inspiration and ideas on Aisle Style by Reign.

If you’re a Colorado girl {or not}, be sure to sign up for Reign.

Betsy, girl, you made Jenna’s wedding look like the glamorous event of the year. And, thanks for the shout out to Tutto Bella.

P.S. the boys survived their Vegas Bachelor weekend too! No tiger was found bathroom, and they came back with all their teeth. 🙂 But, they did come back with a lot less money and a real hangover.

about tre sorelle

14 Apr

We are three sisters. We have an eternal sisterly bond. We have a wardrobe multiplied by three. We are Italian and use our hands when we talk. We argue like sisters. We are honest with one another. We are supportive of one another. We look alike. We have three, very different personalities. We laugh together. We cry together. We love our family. We are best friends. We wouldn’t be the people we are today without each other.

It’s our passion for all things beautiful (tutto bella) that we created this blog. We love weddings and believe true love lasts a lifetime. We believe fine stationery sets the tone for a party. We love catching up on the latest trends in fashion, colors and decor, while remaining true to the classics. We love babies. We love good photos, cocktails and a memorable party. And we believe the details, even the smallest detail, can make all the difference.

We are thrilled to work on this blog together and create daily inspiration for you. From recipes to fashion, party and wedding eye-candy, fabulous finds and home, decor and craft projects – we hope to become a go-to place for you and your friends.

with love,
jessica, jenna and jodi

jessica, the oldest sister
I’m a stay-at-home mom of two kids with no spare time on my
hands…that loves to plan a good party. I obsess over every party
detail and love it even more when it’s a do-it-yourself (diy) detail.
My background is in public relations, but after planning  my own
wedding in 2007, I found my passion for all things weddings, parties
and fabulous finds. My mind is always in the ‘creative mode’ for a new
and insanely adorable party theme or detail. I’m in love with my sweet
and supportive hubby (my high school sweetheart), my family and
friends that enrich my life and my children who I adore and have shown
me how much my heart can love. I am blessed in more ways I could have
ever imagined.

The other little things in my life that make me smile include…the beautiful country of Italy. A good glass of red vino.  A good book about nutrition. Being with my children all day and watching them interact and discover new things. Shopping and more shopping. Catching up on the latest Hollywood gossip and fashion. Watching Oprah on my TiVo. Chocolate cake, or let’s be honest, anything made with chocolate. Details, details, details. And of course, a fabulous party.

jenna, the middle sister
I love all things artistic and old-fashioned. I am an “old soul”, who appreciates family heir looms and vintage style. My favorite movies are all in black and white because I believe that the classics never go out of style. I love fashion and often find myself sketching drawings out of Vogue and W magazines. As a true accessory girl, fabulous shoes and purses define me! I stick to the motto of quality, not quantity – and am very much known as an “A personality” perfectionist. I believe that beauty is in the details. I love reading books and writing, even though I depend on my touch phone to stay in the loop. I was fortunate to study Art History in Florence, Italy– the greatest city in the world – a place that taught me about myself and taught me to always follow my passions in life. I believe in three ingredients vital in getting through the day – coffee, chocolate and wine … and three ingredients to a full, happy life – family, friends, and faith. I am an independent, career woman and own my own business – a small boutique for custom invitations, gifts, and of course … accessories! I would love to have a family someday, but until then, I am enjoying life with my handsome, wonderful husband and my sweet golden retriever Lucia Florence.

jodi, the youngest sister
I am the youngest of the three girls. I have an outgoing, energetic and fun personality. I enjoy being around people and I embrace my role as the comic relief in our family. I consider myself easy-going, but I’m not afraid to say what’s on my mind. My greatest strength is my communication skills – I love to talk!

As a former Division 1 collegiate tennis player, I am extremely competitive and I enjoy being active. I love trying new things to get into shape; my latest is yoga – Namaste 🙂

I am a country girl at heart and will listen to Keith Urban anytime, anywhere. I love to sing in the car to calm my frustration caused by bad drivers.

My background is in Communication and Media Studies. But ask anyone, my dream job is to be a mother. Since I could remember, that is the only thing I’ve ever really wanted to do. I have the most adorable niece and nephew and just can’t get enough of them. My faith and family are the two things that define me.

I married my high school sweetheart in September 2011. Our wedding day was elegant, rustic and entirely filled with love. Newlywed life is an absolute blast, and we are loving every minute.

I’m addicted to wedding blogs, sites, dresses and fun décor ideas. Pinterest and Facebook browsing is daily habit – I love catching up with people, browsing profiles, and most of all, checking out all the posted pictures.

Being Sicilian and having studied in Florence, I have a weakness for anything Italian – vino, pasta, cappuccino, gelato – you name it. I love it all!

My guilty pleasures are Say Yes to the Dress, E! News, The Real Housewives, Sex and the City and My Fair Wedding with David Tutera.
